Robert Saik
AGRICULTURAL FUTURIST
ROBERT SAIK has forty years of experience as a Professional Agrologist, entrepreneur and an international consultant who's worked with a wide variety of agriculturalists from Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture to Bill Gates on implementation of ag tech to help developing economies.
Robert, an outspoken champion of agriculture, is a Distinguished Agrologist, Professional Agriculture Consultant, a serial entrepreneur and has been hailed as an agriculture futurist with unparalleled insight into where the industry is headed.
He has leveraged these strengths to found over 15 companies in the areas of Farming, Agri-Retail, Distribution, Media and Ag Tech including The Agri-Trend/Agri-Data Group of Companies which was acquired by Trimble.
Robert is CEO of AGvisorPRO Inc and Saik Management Group Inc. With his business experience and training in soil chemistry, plant physiology and crop nutrition, together with his knowledge in data management, farm automation and precision agriculture he has new ways for the agriculture sector to solve problems through a brand new connectivity platform for farming, AGvisorPRO. As CEO of his holding company, Saik Management Group Inc., he provides consulting services to many organizations and serves on several boards and advisory committees.
Rob has wide interests in the ag tech space and facilitates the PowerFARM peer group for progressive food producers.
He is an author with over 50 published articles, Executive Producer of the Know Ideas media, a keynote speaker and recognized as 2016 Canadian Agri-Marketer of the Year by the Canadian Agri-Marketing Association.
His first book, “The Agriculture Manifesto – Ten Key Drivers That Will Shape Agriculture in the Next Decade” was a 2014 Best of Amazon Books and this TEDx Talk “Will Agriculture be Allowed to Feed 9 Billion People?” has been viewed over 150,000 times.
In 2019, he released his book "FOOD 5.0: How We Feed the Future" which is a pragmatic look at the five iterations of agriculture, culminating in an examination of how technology convergence is reshaping the farm and the consumer.
Robert is a passionate keynote speaker and is executive producer of the Know Ideas Media a science based multi-media company addressing issues such as GMO’s and their use in food production.
He serves on several Boards, is an advisor to Olds College, is a member of the A100 (Alberta Tech Entrepreneur Network), a student of Strategic Coach and Singularity University and a member of Abundance 360. As a partner in Perigro Venture Partners he participates in early stage technology investments.

ULF GEERDS
Ulf has a strong background in agriculture, finance and real estate. He owned and operated a successful mid-size grain farm in central Alberta. Under his leadership production costs were reduced by 20%, mainly through implementation of cutting-edge production processes. He also worked as a commercial lender for the BMO Bank of Montreal. Further, Ulf gained valuable experience in real estate through buying, selling and renovating residential and commercial real estate.
Today, Ulf works in different areas in the Agricultural Industry. He is currently affiliated with the Saik Management Group Inc and is an independent consultant with his own company. Prior to this, he was an associate with Agri-trend, where he regularly advised businesses especially in agriculture on business strategy and finance. As a true believer in actionable plans, he also supported these businesses to implement strategic plans and improve the bottom line using various financial tools. Further, he actively farms in Alberta and is passionate about integrating new technological advances in food production. Ulf was also the co-founder and co-owner of an indoor Hydroponic/Aeroponics vegetable and herb production facility.
